Getting To Hard Rock Stadium

Driving To Hard Rock Stadium

Hard Rock Stadium is located about 20 minutes north of downtown Miami in a suburb called Miami Gardens.

Hard Rock Stadium

347 Don Shula Drive,
Miami Gardens, Florida 33056

If you are driving from South Beach or Miami Beach, it will take you anywhere between 30 - 45 minutes depending on the traffic, even though it is only an 18-mile ride, during events traffic tends to be heavier, allow at least an hour and a half so you can park and walk to the venue without rushing.

Directions:

  • From South Beach, Miami Beach or Downtown: I-95 North, to North on the Florida Turnpike, to Exit # 2X (Dolphin Toll Plaza), to Hard Rock Stadium
  • From the Airport, South Miami, Doral: North on the Palmetto Expressway (Route 826) to NW 27th Avenue (Route 817), proceed North on NW 27th Avenue to NW 199th Street (Dan Marino Boulevard), turn right at NW 199th Street to Hard Rock Stadium.

There is plenty of parking at Hard Rock Stadium, but it doesn't come cheap. See Parking below.

With UBER / LYFT / Taxis

If you don't have a car or prefer not to drive, UBER, Lyft and taxis are an option. There are designated pick up and drop off areas for Taxis at Gate 4 and Uber/Lyft and rideshares at Lot 22. UBER from South Beach costs about $40 - $60 and dropping off is generally no problem but the pick up after the event to get home is a different story altogether.

The pick up points will be bursting with tons of people waiting for their rides, it is quite chaotic, waiting times of 2 hours or more for your ride to show up are not unusual. On top of that, the surge pricing will very likely kick in as the demand for rides increases.

With Public Transportation

Hard Rock Stadium with Miami MetroBus 297

Unfortunately public transportation options in Miami are not quite as convenient as in other major cities, and getting to Hard Rock Stadium using public transport (city buses) is a bit limited. The easiest is with MetroBus 297 which runs only during game days and connects with the Metrorail system.

Hard Rock Stadium Map MetroBus Route 297 leaves from the Earlington Heights MetroMover Station which also has a Parking Garage, heads north on 27th Avenue where there are a handful of stops as well (but beware, buses might be running full by the time they reach these stops, so it is better to take it from the Earlington Heights Station).

It brings you and picks you up after the game/event at the Bus Lot at Hard Rock Stadium Bay 2 or 3.

MetroBus Fare is $2.25 each way. More info MetroBus 297.

Other MetroRail Stations with parking garages where you can park and connect to Earlington Heights (Parking at Metromover Stations is $4.50):

  • Dadeland South
  • Dadeland North
  • South Miami
  • Martin Luther King Jr. *
  • Okechobee
  • Santa Clara
  • Brownsville *

* MetroBus 297 stops here.

MetroRail transfer fare is only $0.60 but can only be paid with EASY Pay 1-Day Pass or an EASY Card or EASY Ticket. Easiest option is to download the free Easy Pay Mobile App, you can buy a 1-day transit pass $5.65, pay for MetroRail parking $4.50, and plan your ride using the Trip Planner feature.

Parking At Hard Rock Stadium

Hard Rock Stadium Parking Lots

There is ample parking at Hard Rock Stadium with over 20 lots spanning 140 acres and with a capacity for over 24,000 cars, you should have no problem securing a spot.

There are separate lots for buses, RVs, limos and even a helipad.

The different car lots are color-coded, Maroon, Black, Blue and Orange are "interior" lots and closest to the stadium. Rates at these premium lots start at $50 and run in the $200+.

Yellow lots in the periphery of the stadium are the cheapest with about a 15-minute walk to the Stadium gates. Rates at Yellow lots run anywhere from $25 to $50 depending on event. On Game Day, these are cash lots only, or if you have a Sunpass look for the SunPass Plus logo at the parking gates, SunPass will also save you some money, for Dolphins games you save $15, you must be enrolled on SunPass Plus and have automatic replenishment activated on your account.
