Once again in the Magic City, Formula 1 comes to Miami and is ready to unleash the fantastic spectacle that is F1 for fans in the USA and beyond. This exciting event will be back at Hard Rock Stadium's specially refitted Miami International Autodrome and its temporary 19-turn track.

Hard Rock Stadium will be at the center of all the action and host all spectator facilities. Pits and Paddock Club complex will be directly adjacent to the north side of the stadium.

Memorial Day Weekend: Miami Beach Air & Sea Show

There is no better time to pay tribute to our military, first responders and those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country than Memorial Day Weekend, and in this spirit, the National Salute to America's Heroes initiative will take place on our sandy shores with all five branches of the military represented: The Army, the Navy, the Air Force, the Marines and the Coast Guard as well as our police, firefighters and first responder agencies.

Fort Lauderdale Air Show

Featuring the U.S. Airforce Thunderbirds, A-10 Thunderbolt II Demo Team, Ghost Squadron along with military jet flyovers, parachute teams, civilian aerobatic acts and formation flight teams for a fantastic day out on the beach!

Flown from Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport, the show's main flight line area is between Sunrise Boulevard and 18th Street.

SunFest Music and Arts Festival

Every year in the spring, the West Palm Beach waterfront becomes the stage of a gigantic party, a weekend with a full lineup of top musical acts, an Art District, Floating Bars, a 5k race and fantastic food options.

Performances take place on a couple of stages and include some great names... Earth, Wind & Fire, Billy Idol, Flo Rida, Ludacris, Diplo, Keith Urban, Snoop Dogg, Steve Aoki, Lizzo, Doobie Brothers and many, many, MANY more!

When?: Traditionally on the first week in May but new arrangements are being worked out. Stay tuned!

Where?: New arrangements are to be announced. For years it has been held in Downtown West Palm Beach Waterfront along Florida's Intracoastal Waterway, extending along Flagler Drive.

How Much?: One-Day Pass $80+, youth (6 - 12) $40+, and seniors (65+) $6, kids 5 and under FREE. Multi-day passes and group rates available. Handicapped Seating is available at no additional cost at both stages on a first-come, first served basis.

This is a public holiday celebrated every year on the last Monday in May in honor of the men and women who have died while serving our country.

Memorial Day is the "unofficial" start of the summer vacation season, while Labor Day in September marks its end.

This year, the National Salute to America's Heroes will be back on Saturday and Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend. There will be an exciting Air And Sea Show as well as stage shows and entertainment on the beautiful shores of Miami Beach.

Every second Saturday of the month, the Wynwood Art Walk is one of the most iconic events in the city in this up and coming neighborhood which has been transforming the art scene in Miami.

Ocean Drive Promenade Music Series

Come and enjoy the Magic of Ocean Drive with this new FREE open air family-friendly classical music series every Sunday at 5:00 pm. New World Symphony WALLCAST® Concerts

These are live classical music performances by the New World Symphony which are projected into a 7,000 square-foot wall at the New World Center for thousands to enjoy in a fantastic outdoor atmosphere.

Many Miami museums regularly offer free admission days, so take advantage and save if you can!

Here are some of the offerings, and be sure to double check for updates or changes with each venue before you head out.

Museum of Art and Design (MOAD) - Free admission on Thursdays 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Perez Art Museum (PAMM) - Free second Saturdays of the month

For our Residents, if you have a Miami Dade Library Card, check out the FREE Museum Pass Program where you can get passes to many of the most popular museums and attractions in the city. Passes are good for a family of 4 and can be easily "checked out" with your library card. Passes are first-come-first-served and as you can imagine, some of the most popular ones get snatched as soon as they become available, each library branch gets a limited number of passes for each attraction.

Fantasy Theatre Factory at the Sandrell Rivers Theater Series

Fantasy Theater Factory is a non-profit organization that manages the Sandrell Rivers Theater, a state of the art black box theater in Miami. FTF places its greatest programmatic emphasis on Theater for Young Audiences which place a primary focus on childhood literacy and ecology. Other focus areas of programming include: fitness, history, diversity, self esteem, peer pressure and bullying prevention. FTF also produces cultural arts workshop residency programs that serve at-risk youth, children with disabilities and general population students.

Monthly lineups include a bi-monthly film screening series, a bi-monthly live music series, an art exhibition series and a new play competition, where playwrights can have their new works performed as staged readings in front of live audiences.

Each year FTF produces well over 500 programs, many are FREE and open to the public, some offered for a low nominal fee, in many cases if you are unable to afford a ticket, please call their box office, and they will be happy to reserve up to four (4) free tickets for your party.
