Miami Art Week 2020

Art Basel may be out but Miami Art Week is still on!

Miami Art Week Wynwood Fairs

Even though Art Basel Miami Beach, the epicenter of Miami Art Week, has been cancelled for 2020 due to Covid concerns, some of the satellite fairs and pop up events are back this year, with enhanced health and safety measures of course and with events that can be safely enjoyed outdoors.

So this first week of December, the art world can still converge in Miami, even though on a much smaller scale, with many of our local galleries, artists, collectors, curators as well as art and design enthusiasts making an appearance to showcase and relish on the latest in the world of contemporary art.

Art Basel Miami Beach Pink Snails Outdoor Art

What started with Art Basel Miami Beach back in 2002, has grown into quite a unique event spawning many other satellite fairs, outdoor exhibitions, fashion shows, concerts, private events, parties and grand openings, what has now become the Miami Art Week. This year of course due to the pandemic and travel restrictions that will keep the global participants and audiences at home, many of the events have been understandably cancelled, but Art Week is still very much ON!

A lot of the action this year is concentrated in Miami's up-and-coming neighborhoods: the Miami Design District and Mid-Town and the Wynwood Arts District. In fact, this is probably the best time to check out these areas which are otherwise quieter during normal times of the year.

These are some of the fairs and events that have been confirmed for 2020, we will be adding to the list as more events are confirmed:

The following fairs have re-worked their formats with mostly ONLINE exhibitions and marketplaces:
